Student accommodation is managed by the Studierendenwerk, an independent student services organisation rather than by the University of Tübingen. However, the university has a yearly allocation of rooms reserved specifically for exchange students.

These are fully furnished single rooms, typically with shared kitchens and bathrooms. Due to the limited and expensive private rental market in Tübingen, the university strongly recommends that exchange students apply for student accommodation.
