Universidad Diego Portales (UDP)

Universidad Diego Portales (UDP) offers a comprehensive exchange program for incoming law students from partner institutions. The program provides an immersive experience in Chilean legal education, emphasizing both theoretical and practical aspects of law. Exchange students can enrol in a variety of courses taught by experienced faculty, participate in legal clinics, and engage in research projects.

The program also includes opportunities for cultural immersion and networking with local students and professionals. To apply, students must be nominated by their home university and meet specific language proficiency requirements.

  • Subject-Specific Law Exchange

The language of instruction at this institution is Spanish. While a limited number of courses may be available in English, students should be prepared to be taught entirely in Spanish. 

  • Students must have the equivalent of at least two years of undergraduate level Spanish or a B2 level in the Common European Framework of Languages to be eligible for this exchange.  
  • If allocated an exchange place at this institution, students who are not studying Spanish language nor who are native speakers will need to sit a language proficiency exam in early spring. A student must achieve a B2 result or higher in order to proceed with the exchange.
