UK-Pal is a consortium comprising 11 founding member universities, all based in the UK.

In addition to the founding universities, a number of higher education sector organisations support the consortium. These include:

- Friends of Palestinian Universities.
Joining the consortium
UK universities interested in joining UK-Pal may be considered for membership at defined intervals, subject to alignment with consortium principles and capacity.
Membership enquiries should be directed to the UK-Pal Coordination Unit.
Membership involves:
- senior institutional engagement
- participation in consortium discussions and thematic collaboration
- a commitment to contribute expertise, activity or resources in support of academic engagement with Gaza’s universities
- an annual institutional contribution to support the coordination and development of the consortium

Hosting arrangements
The University of Edinburgh serves as the administrative host for the UK-Pal Coordination Unit for an initial three-year period, supporting the work of the consortium on behalf of its member universities.
