Gibrill Amid Sesay

Gibrill is the Director of Quality Assurance and International Affairs at Central University, Sierra Leone.

Gibrill holds a BSc in Social Work, an MSc in Sociology, a Master of Public Administration, and a Master of Philosophy degree in Sociology. His academic and professional journey has equipped him with deep expertise in academic quality assurance, curriculum development, and institutional governance.

Gibrill’s research interests centred on academic integrity, assessment practices, integration of African indigenous knowledge in higher education and the role of learning management systems in enhancing teaching and learning in developing contexts. He has served as a lecturer, researcher, and consultant, working with both national and international partners to strengthen higher education systems. 

Gibrill is a United States Exchange Alumni member, a Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa member, and a Mastercard Foundation Scholar.
